The Task step is a great way to set up a reminder to book a meeting or call your contacts. When a contact is moved to this step, Reply creates a task for you to handle in the extension. This article will shed some light on Task steps. Let's dive in!

Steps to create

You can create a Task step and add some notes in the Sequence Wizard. Here is how you can do it:

  1. Open the sequence;

  2. Go to the Steps tab;

  3. Click New step:

  4. Choose the Task variant in the upper menu;

  5. Pick whether it is a To-do task or a Meeting:

  6. Enter the text;

  7. Save the changes and it is done!

Manual and Automatic modes

The Task step supports Manual and Automatic modes. We will cover the difference between the two options, so you can pick the right one.

Manual mode

  • The contact is not moved to the next step until you finish the task.

  • The task is not finished until you manually complete it.

Automatic mode

  • The contact is automatically moved further based on a step delay before the next step. For example: if you have a 2-day delay before the next step starts, the system will wait for 2 days and move the contact further.

  • If the Task is the last step in a sequence, the contact gets the Finished status after the specified number of days.

This is it! If you have some questions left, feel free to message our Support team in chats or emails them at [email protected].
