The goal of the Task step is to inform you that you must do something to your contacts, for example - book a meeting after a successful call. When a contact is moved to the Task step, Reply creates a task accessible from the Tasks Dashboard in Chrome Extension or the Tasks page in the web application.

You can create a Task step in the Sequence Wizard. The text you entered will be displayed in tasks generated by the sequence:

Manual and Automatic modes

The Task step supports Manual and Automatic modes.

Manual mode:

  • The contact is not moved to the next step until you finish the task manually.

  • If Task is the last step in a sequence, the contact gets the Finished status after the specified number of days.

Automatic mode:

  • The contact is moved to the next step if you finish the task manually.

  • The contact is moved to the next step automatically after step delay if you do not finish the task manually.

  • If Task is the last step in a sequence, the contact gets the Finished status after the specified number of days.
