What are AI SDR Playbooks?
AI SDR Playbooks serve as your own guide for how AI SDR will generate sequence messages. By using custom prompts in the Playbook, you can have more control over how AI creates your outreach messages, so the content matches your style, sales goals, and strategy.
With Playbooks, you can write specific instructions for AI, such as what to highlight, what to leave out, dos and don’ts, and how to organize your messaging. Let’s take a closer look at how it works!
How to create an AI SDR Playbook?
You can create a detailed, multi-step guide for each part of your outreach sequence, or keep it simple with just one sentence.
To create your own Playbook:
Go to the AI SDR page.
Navigate to the Playbooks tab.
Click on the New Playbook button in the top-right corner.
If you're just starting out and need some guidance on structuring your Playbook, you can use the available buttons that will create separate sections. These buttons help you write instructions for key outreach steps, including: Connect messages, Initial email, Call scripts, Do, Don't, Follow-ups, InMail, For emails.
The Library tab has ready-made Playbooks, which you can use as-is or refer to as examples.
However, it’s not at all mandatory to write lengthy guidelines. For example, your Playbook can be as simple as one sentence, such as: 'Don’t mention the competitors’ names — Competitor 1, Competitor 2 — be polite and avoid hard selling'.
You can edit your own Playbooks at any time, but default Playbooks from the Library cannot be modified.
How to create a sequence with your Playbook?
There are two ways to create a sequence using your playbook:
Click on the New AI SDR Sequence button above the Playbook. Then, follow the rest of the steps to create an AI SDR sequence. Learn more about it here.
Start creating an AI SDR sequence → Click Add playbook → Select your Playbook from the available list.
