How to use conditions in sequences?

Condition steps help you organize your contacts and create personalized communication paths in your sequences.

A condition step checks the defined criteria for each contact and determines if they should follow the "Yes" path or the "No" path for the next step.


When you create a condition step, you'll see two categories: Popular and Other conditions. For more details about creating conditional sequences, please refer to our article.

If you add several properties in the condition, they will work using AND logic if the properties are different, and OR logic if they are the same.

Popular conditions

  • Email: Checks if the contact has an email address associated with their profile.

  • Email Validation Status: Verifies the validity of the contact's email address (e.g., valid, invalid, risky, or empty).

  • LinkedIn URL: Checks if the contact has a LinkedIn profile URL added to their information.

  • LinkedIn Connection Status: Checks the status of your connection request (Unchecked, Connected, Not connected, Pending, Connection forbidden, Invalid URL, Revoked).

  • Phone Number: Checks if the contact has a phone number associated with their profile.

  • Phone Number: Type: Identifies the type of phone number associated with the contact (Mobile, Landline, or Invalid).

  • Opens: Tracks the number of times the contact has opened your emails.

  • Clicks: Tracks the number of times the contact has clicked on links within your emails.
