Mail providers like Office 365 or GSuite (Google Workspace) may block your sending account if they detect suspicious activity.
If your account is blocked, you’ll notice that all your emails bounce back.
To prevent a high volume of bounces, we’ve implemented a feature that automatically pauses sending from your account for the next 24 hours (or until you manually resume your account).
Here’s how it works:
Identifying a Blocked Email Account
As soon as we detect the first bounces indicating a block, we immediately stop sending emails from your account.
You will see a corresponding pop-up on each toggle of your sequences that are sent from a suspended account:
If you navigate to your Sequence logs, you’ll see which email account was blocked:
However, we mention the email account block only in those Sequence logs where we have detected the first bounce-back message.
We do not block email detection from this account, so if you receive replies, we’ll be able to detect them.
If you have multiple email accounts connected to the sequence, emails will continue to go out from this sequence because we only stopped sending from the blocked email account.
How to Unblock Your Email Account with Your Mail Provider
The next step is to unblock your account. Please follow the links below to read more about how to resume your email accounts:
How to Resume Sending in Reply
When you have unblocked your email account and are ready to send, you can resume your sending process manually from the "Reply" option.
To do this, please navigate to your email account page and click the "Resume" button in the top right corner.
If you do not manually resume your email account, the system will automatically resume it 24 hours after we have detected the first corresponding bounce message.
How to Re-send Bounced Prospects
You may still see some emails bounce due to the account block, as we can only stop sending after we detect some of those bounces.
The system will automatically re-send the bounced steps when your email account is resumed in Reply.
Alternatively, you can resume them manually.
To find such prospects, use the filter "Bounce: sender's provider block"
Select your prospects and remove a Bounced status:
Click "Yes" when the system asks you to re-send the bounced step to the prospect:
