Set up integration

You can begin integration using the direct link or from your Reply account. To integrate from the account, open the Integrations tab, find Salesforce in the Available integrations list and click Connect.

If you are not logged in to Salesforce, the system will prompt you to log in:

After you have successfully logged in, the system prompts you to install the plugin. Select a corresponding option based on your privacy settings, a click Install.

After you click Install, the system opens the Approve Third-Party Access window. Check the Yes, grant access to these third-party websites check box and click Continue.

To configure the plugin, click Done.


Note: you can always open the plugin configuration page using the search option in Salesforce:

To setup the plugin, you should perform the following actions:

  • Configure the Lead Page Layout
  • Configure the Contact Page Layout
  • Configure the Lead List View
  • Configure the Contacts List View

Configure the Lead Page layout

  1. On the Installed Packages page, open Build - Customize - Leads - Page Layout menu.
  2. Click Buttons.
  3. Under the Page Layout Name column, Lead Layout field, click Edit.
  4. Drag the Reply buttons (Add to Reply, Push to Reply Sequences, Send email via Reply) from the Lead Layout buttons section to the Custom buttons section in Lead Detail.
  5. Click Save.

Configure the Contact Page layout

  1. On the Installed Packages page, open Build - Customize - Contacts - Page Layout menu.
  2. Under the Contact Layout Name column, Lead Layout field, click Edit.
  3. Click Buttons.
  4. Drag the Reply buttons (Add to Reply, Push to Reply Sequences, Send email via Reply) from the Lead Layout buttons section to the Custom buttons section in Contact Detail.
  5. Click Save.

Configure the Lead List View

  1. On the Installed Packages page, open Build - Customize - Contacts - Search Layouts menu.
  2. In the Contact Search Layouts table, under the Layout column, Search List View field click Edit.
  3. In the Available Buttons menu, select and add the Add to Reply and Push to Reply sequence buttons.
  4. Click Save.

Configure the Contacts List View

  1. On the Installed Packages page, open Build - Customize - Leads - Search Layouts menu.
  2. In the Lead Search Layouts table, under the Layout column, Lead List View field click Edit.
  3. In the Available Buttons menu, select and add the Add to Reply and Push to Reply sequence buttons.
  4. Click Save.

Using the Salesforce plugin

After you have connected the plugin, navigate to the Leads tab to begin using it.

Add leads to Reply

  1. Select leads you want to add to Reply.
  2. Click Add to Reply.

After you have added the leads, you can find them in the Reply interface under the People page.

Note: you can also add the lead to Reply from the lead details page.

Push leads to Reply sequence

  1. Select leads you want to add to Reply sequence.
  2. Click Push to Reply sequence.
  3. Select the sequence.
  4. Click Push to Sequence.

After you have push the leads to a specific sequence, you can find them in the Reply interface under the Sequence page, Sequence Name, People tab.

Note: you can also push the lead to a sequence from the lead details page.

Important!!! The first-step email is sent immediately even if sequence is paused.

Send direct emails using Reply

You can send direct emails to your leads from the Salesforce interface, using the Reply functionality. To do this:

  1. Open the lead details page (click on any lead on the Leads page).
  2. Click Send email via Reply.
  3. Fill in the required fields.
  4. Click Send.
