Prospect Finished trigger in Zapier

How to use the Prospect Finished trigger

The Prospect Finished trigger lets you send information about a finished contact from Reply to your CRM. This trigger is useful for automating follow-ups, reporting, or updating CRM fields when a prospect completes a sequence.

The trigger sends the following information for each finished contact:

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Email

  • Phone

  • Company

  • Campaign Name

  • Title

  • City

  • State

  • Country

  • LinkedIn URL

  • Company Size

  • Industry

  • Time zone

  • Account fields

  • Custom fields

  • Reason for finish - Bounced, Replied, Finished after X days, Manual.

  • Finished step – the step number in the sequence where the prospect finished

  • Total steps number – total number of steps in the sequence when the trigger ran

Below is an example showing how the Prospect Finished trigger can be used with Pipedrive.

Suggested field mapping for Pipedrive

First Name, Last Name (Reply) → First Name, Last Name (Pipedrive)
Email (Reply)→ Email (Pipedrive)
Phone (Reply)→ Phone (Pipedrive)
Finished Step (Reply)→ Finished Step (Pipedrive custom field)
Reason for Finish (Reply)→ Reason for Finish (Pipedrive custom field)
Campaign Name (Reply) → Campaign Name (Pipedrive custom field)

Step 1: Add custom fields to your Pipedrive contacts

  1. In your Pipedrive account, go to Company settings → Data fields.

  2. Select Person and click + Custom field.

  3. Choose Text field.

  4. Enter a name for the custom field, for example, Reason for finish.

  5. Open the Contacts tab, click ⚙️, and add the newly created fields to your contacts.

Step 2: Create the Zap

  1. Open Zapier and click + Create → Zaps.

  2. Select Reply as the trigger app.

  3. Choose Prospect Finished as the trigger event.

  4. Connect your Reply account.

  5. Select Pipedrive as the action app.

  6. Choose Create Person as the action.

  7. Connect your Pipedrive account.

  8. Map the Reply fields to your Pipedrive fields, including any custom fields such as Reason for finish and Finished Step.

  9. Click Continue, test your Zap and publish it once you're ready.

After your Zap runs, you'll see each prospect's Name, Email, Phone, Reason for finish, and Finished Step updated automatically in Pipedrive whenever a prospect reaches the Finished status in a Reply sequence.
