Inbox categories are labels that help you organize your email threads based on the contact's interests. They include labels such as "Interested," "Not interested," "Do not contact," and more. Managing these labels can help you prioritize and respond to important messages more easily.
You can find your inbox categories on the left-side panel of your inbox, along with the number of unread messages per category. Inbox categories also work as filters, so when you click on a category, all the threads related to that category will be shown. Other than that, inbox categories are shown near each thread as labels in front of the subject.
Inbox categories are automatically assigned based on our AI algorithms, which analyze the tone of email replies and identify leads that are most likely to convert.
However, you can also manage your inbox categories yourself by assigning or reassigning them to your threads. This can help you keep your inbox organized and ensure that important messages don't get lost in the clutter.
Assign inbox categories for a single thread
To assign inbox categories for a single thread:
Open the thread.
Click on the inbox category icon titled "Manually assign/reassign category" at the top.
Select the needed inbox category from the drop-down list.
Please note. Only one inbox category can be assigned per thread. The exception is "Meeting intent," which is a sub category and can be managed separately. This means you can assign a category + Meeting intent for a thread.
Remove inbox categories for a single thread
Open the thread.
Simply click on the x button near the inbox category at the top.
Alternatively, click on the "Manually assign/reassign category" icon at the top.
Then click Clear assigned category or/and Clear assigned sub-category, and click Apply.
Assign/reassign inbox categories for multiple threads
You can also manage inbox categories in bulk, which makes it easier to assign or reassign categories for multiple threads at once.
Select needed threads by checking them in the main Inbox view.
To select all threads in your Inbox, click All.
Click on the "Manually assign/reassign category" icon at the top.
To assign an inbox category to the selected thread(s), click on the needed category and sub-category (Meeting intent). Click Apply.
To remove the inbox category, click Clear assigned category or/and Clear assigned sub-category. Click Apply.
Create custom categories
By default, Reply provides you with this list of inbox categories:
Do not contact
However, you can also change or create custom inbox categories.
When assigning or reassigning, you can also select Create new from the drop-down list and instantly create a new category.
