How do I manage my inbox categories?

Inbox categories are labels that help organize email threads based on the contact's interest in your offer. Managing these makes it easier to prioritize and respond to important messages.

You can find inbox categories on the left-side panel of your inbox along with the number of unread messages. They also work as filters: clicking on a category shows all related threads. Additionally, inbox categories are shown as labels next to the thread's subject:

☝️ Inbox categories are automatically assigned by our AI, which analyzes the tone of email replies and identifies leads that are most likely to convert.

Assigning an inbox category

If you want to change the category or assign a custom one, follow these steps:

  1. Select the needed thread;

  2. Click the Manually assign/reassign category icon:

  3. Pick the category from the drop-down list.

  4. Click Apply.

Important: Only one inbox category can be assigned per thread. The exception is the Meeting intent one, which is a subcategory.

Removing an inbox category

If you want to delete an incorrect category next to your thread, these steps will help you out:

  1. Open the thread;

  2. Click on the x icon next to the inbox category:

  1. Select the thread;

  2. Click the Manually assign/reassign category icon;

  3. Choose the Clear assigned category:

Bulk-assigning a category

You can also manage inbox categories in bulk, which makes it easier to assign or reassign categories for multiple threads.

  1. Select needed threads;

  2. Click the Manually assign/reassign category icon;

  3. Choose the category and sub-category (Meeting intent):

  4. Click Apply and done!

Creating a custom category

By default, Reply provides you with this list of inbox categories:

  • Interested

  • Not interested

  • Do not contact

  • Not now

  • Forwarded

  • Meeting intent

However, you can also change or create custom inbox categories, it is up to you!
