AI voice messages help you send short, personalized audio messages to your LinkedIn contacts or AI SDR prospects. They add a human touch to your outreach, helping you stand out in crowded inboxes and build stronger connections with your audience.
π₯ Watch the quick video below to see how AI voice messages work and how they can benefit you.
Creating and managing voice profiles
To get started, you'll first need to create and manage your voice profiles - this is where you choose how your AI voice messages will sound. To create a new voice profile:
Go to Settings β Voices.
Click New voice and give your profile a name.
Next, you have two options: record your voice or upload an audio file.
Record your voice
Step 1. Add your personal details β first name, last name, company name, and language.
π‘ We support multiple languages, so you can record or generate voices in the language that fits your audience best.
Step 2. Click Generate reading text. The system will create a short sample text (up to 60 seconds) for you to read aloud. You can edit it or replace it with your own words.
Step 3. Record your audio directly on the platform. You can re-record anytime using the Record new button or preview your AI voice by clicking Show preview.
Step 4. When you're happy with the result, click Create profile to finish the setup.
Your voice will now be ready to use in AI voice messages.
Upload an audio file
If you already have a recording of your voice, you can upload it instead. Supported formats are MP3, M4A, FLAC, WAV (up to 60 seconds).
π‘ Important note: The number of voice profiles you can create can't be higher than the number of connected LinkedIn accounts.
Editing and removing voice profiles
If you'd like to edit or remove an existing voice, click the three dots next to the profile name and choose the necessary option.
π‘If you plan to remove a LinkedIn account, make sure to delete the voice profile first since the number of voice profiles can't exceed the number of connected LinkedIn accounts.
To edit a voice profile:
Click Regenerate Voice Profile β this will take you back to the recording page, where you can re-record your voice or upload a new file.
Once you're happy with the result, click Complete Regeneration to save your changes.
If you're using multiple voice profiles, you also have the option to set a default voice that will be automatically used in your sequences:
Linking a voice profile to a LinkedIn account
Each LinkedIn account is automatically assigned a default voice profile. If you have multiple voices and want to change which one is linked to a specific account, please follow these steps:
Go to Settings β LinkedIn Accounts.
Click on the LinkedIn account you want to update, and scroll down to the Voice profile section.
Select the voice from the drop-down list.
Click on Link Voice Profile.
π‘ One voice can be used for multiple LinkedIn accounts. Each LinkedIn account can have only one voice profile linked at a time.
Adding an AI voice message to a sequence
To add a LinkedIn AI voice message step:
Open the Steps tab of your sequence and click on + to add LinkedIn.
Select AI voice message.
Enter your text.
(Optional) Add variables or AI variables to personalize your message.
Click Preview voice to generate and listen to the message.
Save.
π‘Your message can be up to 1,000 characters, but we recommend staying under 600 characters β this usually makes your message about 20-40 seconds long, which works best for engagement. LinkedIn allows messages up to 1 minute.
In the Preview tab, click Generate preview audio to listen to your message. If you prefer to upload your own recording, choose Select another file. You can upload an audio file or record one directly. If you make any text changes, click Generate audio with new text to refresh the audio.
AI voice messages in AI SDR sequences
When you create an AI SDR sequence, you can select AI voice message steps as one of the outreach channels.
In the Steps tab, you can either:
In the Preview tab, you'll see the generated text and can adjust it before generating the final voice. If your sequence is in Approval mode, these changes can also be reviewed and approved on the Pending Approvals page.
The final version that gets sent might sound slightly different from the preview β that's expected, as AI voices can have small natural variations.
You can listen to the actual message sent from the Contact Activity card.
If you upload your own file in the Preview tab while using Approval mode, the AI-generated message will be removed from the Pending Approvals page, and your uploaded audio will be sent instead.
