Reply offers several options for integration with Close:

  • Create people from contacts. The option lets you fetch your Close contacts to Reply.

  • Update people from contacts. When you update a contact in Close, Reply also updates it.

  • Auto-update statuses in CRM. The option lets you update an opportunity status in Close depending on the contact inbox category in a Reply sequence.

  • Push to Sequence. The option lets you add a contact from Close to an ongoing Reply sequence.

Create people from contacts

To fetch your Close contacts to Reply:

  1. Toggle the Create people from contacts slider.

  2. Click Sync now.

Your Close contacts appear on the People page of your Reply account. After the first time, all new contacts will be automatically fetched by Reply.

You can also fetch Close contacts using a custom query (apply to Leads in Close) with native Close syntax. For example - city:New York will fetch all contacts from New York.

To use more complex queries just filter data in Сlose and copy query from the search field as in the screenshot.

If you want your contacts updated with changes made in Сlose, select the 'Update people from contact' option, and Reply people will reflect those changes.

Update people from contacts

Use this option if you want to update contacts in Reply after updating them in Close. To do this:

  1. Toggle the Update people from contacts slider.

  2. Click Sync now for a manual update. Otherwise, Reply will sync changes during the next automatic synchronization.

Push to Sequence.

When you enable this option, Close pushes contacts to a specified sequence in Reply. To use the option:

In your Close account:

  1. Create an opportunity with the same opportunity status as a Reply sequence name you want to use.*

  2. Assign a contact to the opportunity and indicate its name.

Note: add a custom opportunity statuses on the Customizations page of your Close account.

In your Reply account:

  1. Make sure the sequence name coincides with the opportunity name in Close.

  2. Toggle the Push to Sequence slider.

  3. Click Sync now for a manual update. Otherwise, Reply will sync changes during the next automatic synchronization.

Auto-update statuses in CRM

Replies have several inbox categories in sequences, for example, Interested, Not interested, Forwarded, etc. Depending on contact activity, the system moves them to different inbox categories automatically. The integration lets you update opportunity statuses in Close depending on their inbox categories in the Reply sequence. To do this:

In your Close account:

  1. Create opportunity statuses with the same names as inbox categories in Reply.

In your Reply account:

  1. Toggle the Auto-update statuses in CRM slider.

  2. Click Sync now for a manual update. Otherwise, Reply will sync changes during the next automatic synchronization.

After the contact changes their inbox category in Reply, they also change their opportunity status in Close.
