Reply integrates with Copper CRM to sync leads and contacts from Copper into Reply. This article walks you through setting up the integration and configuring field mappings, filters, and actions.
Set up the integration
Go to the Integrations page in Reply.
Select Copper CRM and click Connect.
In Copper CRM, go to Integrations → API Keys and generate a new API key.
In Reply, enter the API key and your Copper account email in the pop-up.
Click Authenticate.
Choose integration steps
Reply offers two types of integration profiles:
Default profile – start using the integration right away with pre-configured steps.
Custom profile – set up custom field mappings, filters, and actions between Copper and Reply.
By default, all steps are Active. To deactivate a step, disable the toggle next to it.
Reply supports a one-way sync from Copper CRM to Reply. You can currently map:
Configure field mappings
To configure field mappings for any step:
Hover over the step and click the Settings icon.
Expand the Fields mapping section.
Click Add field mapping.
Under Copper fields, select the required mapping and match it with the mapping under Reply fields.
Click Save.
First name and email address are required fields for mapping.
💡 Note: A person in Copper can have multiple email addresses (for example, Work, Personal, and Other). Reply, however, stores only one primary email per contact. If multiple emails are added, the prospect will be created with the email that was added last in the Copper contact profile. If you need to keep additional email addresses, you can map them to custom fields in Reply.
Set up filtering rules
You can use filtering rules to sync only the leads and prospects that match your conditions.
For example, if you've mapped the Country field but want to sync only contacts from the United States:
Expand the Filtering rules section.
Click Add new rule.
Select Country in the Copper field dropdown.
Choose Equals as the condition.
Enter United States.
Save.
Move contacts to a sequence
After setting up filtering rules, you can choose which sequence synced contacts should be added to.
Hover over the Leads/People in Copper → People in Reply step and click the Settings icon.
Expand the People to sequence section.
Select the sequence where contacts should be added.
Choose the step where contacts should start.
You can also enable additional options:
Ignore step delay – skips the delay before the selected step. Contacts will start immediately once your sending schedule is open.
Only for new records – adds only newly synced contacts to the sequence. Updated records will be skipped.
Manage integration steps
You can clone or remove integration steps anytime:
Clone step – creates a new step with the same settings as the original.
Delete step – removes the step from your integration.
💡 Note: When a contact is synced from Copper to Reply, a direct link to the Copper record appears in the contact sidebar. Click it to open the record in a new tab.
You can also filter contacts synced via Copper on the People page by adding a smart filter.
