Auto-replies, out-of-office messages, and bounced emails can often mess up inbox. Especially if there are tons of such emails arriving in your inbox in the weeks leading up to the holidays.

By default, all auto-replies, out-of-office messages, and bounced emails are not displayed in your Inbox. However, there can be cases when you may still want to see some of them. The problem is it adds a lot of unread messages to your inbox.

If these are junky replies that don’t make any sense to you, you can set up how to handle your email automated responses. You can select the most comfortable way for you how to handle out-of-office replies, auto-replies, and bounced emails both in your email client (Gmail, Outlook, etc) and Reply inbox.

To set up the way your email client and Reply handle auto-replies, follow these steps:

  1. Click on Settings in the top header menu.

  2. Open the Emails tab and navigate to the Email Safety section.

  3. Navigate to the 'How to handle Auto replies and Bounce emails in your email client' section. Click on the drop-down list and select the desired action: Do nothing (this option is selected by default), Delete, or Mark as read.

  4. Navigate to the 'How to handle Auto replies and Bounce emails in your Reply inbox' section. Click on the drop-down list and select the desired action: Do not display (this option is selected by default), Display, or Display & mark as read.

That's it. The chosen actions will be automatically applied when you receive responses in Reply, and/or in your Gmail or Outlook inbox.
