With the Reply AI Avatar feature powered by Heygen, your chatbot assistant can come to life with a lifelike avatar, enriching your website's user experience through audio and video communication. Here's how to integrate this dynamic feature effortlessly into your website, enhancing engagement and interactivity for your visitors.

If you haven't already, sign up for a Heygen account on their website and complete the registration process.

Once your account is set up, customize your AI avatar's appearance in Heygen. Personalize visual attributes such as hairstyle, clothing, and facial expressions to align with your brand's identity and messaging.

By default, Heygen offers a trial period with limitations: you can test the AI avatar with a few pre-made templates, selecting just one during the trial. However, there's only one session available for the trial token, allowing the AI avatar to be integrated into the Reply platform for a single-user session.

To unlock the full potential of Heygen's AI avatar and extend its usage to a wider audience through Reply AI chat, you'll need to purchase 10,000 credits for streaming the AI avatar. This equals 10,000 minutes of streaming and is priced at $1000. Since the technology is new, there's currently no automated purchase process. To acquire the full streaming AI avatar capabilities, please contact alec@heygen.com.

📌 Important: Only the streaming avatar should be chosen for integration as an AI avatar. When making your selection, be sure to pick the streaming avatar from the available templates, identified with the 'Streaming avatar' label.

Alternatively, you can create your own streaming avatar. Simply integrate a video of your desired person and fine-tune the avatar to your preferences, at a cost of $64. Once the avatar is optimized, click "Start streaming on avatar" to complete the process, with an additional charge of $100.

In your Heygen account dashboard, navigate to Space Settings/API to find your unique API Key. This key serves as the gateway for integrating Heygen's AI features into your website.

Copy your API Key from Heygen and paste it into the API key field in the AI avatar tab in Reply (to access this tab, go to the AI chat section, select your chatbot, and navigate to the AI avatar tab).

Click Connect and wait for the connection to establish.

Note: If the API key is incorrect, an error message will indicate the connection failure.

Select your preferred avatar from the Avatar name drop-down menu, which lists all avatars created in your Heygen account. You can choose one avatar for one chat

Customize the avatar's Background color to match your website's style. Whether aligning with your landing page's palette or matching specific elements, this feature ensures your AI avatar seamlessly integrates with your website's aesthetics.

Once configured, click Show to enable your AI avatar on your website; or click Hide to save configurations without displaying the avatar, showing the Text-Based Chatbot Assistant instead.

Use real-time testing capabilities to ensure seamless performance. Test different interactions and scenarios to fine-tune your AI avatar's performance.

When enabled, your website users can access and interact with the AI avatar assistant for engaging communication.

Upon visiting your website, users will encounter two chat assistant options: the AI avatar assistant and the standard AI chatbot assistant. The AI avatar assistant is suggested by default, offering a visually engaging interaction. However, users can switch to the standard AI chatbot assistant if preferred.

Users can start interacting with the AI avatar assistant by clicking the Play/Pause button. This initiates audio and video communication. To send messages to the AI assistant users need to record voice queries or responses using the 🎤 icon.

The AI assistant processes audio inputs, generating responses based on user queries.

The AI avatar assistant communicates with users in video format, with speech transcribed into text within the chat interface for clarity.

Users can expand the AI avatar assistant to full-screen mode for maximum immersion. Text chat remains accessible on the right side for ease of use.

If user credits are insufficient on your Reply or Heygen account, chat mode automatically switches to the standard AI chatbot assistant, ensuring continuous assistance.
