Learn how to filter contacts by the current step in a sequence

The current step filter relates to smart filters available in a sequence in the People tab. You can use smart filters to sort contacts based on different criteria and perform a bulk action on the pulled list of contacts.

To filter contacts by current step, follow these instructions:

  1. Click on the Add filter button.

  2. Add a name for a filter and select the property Current step.

  3. Select the condition + value.

  4. Click Apply to view the list of contacts, or click Save to view contacts and save a filter for further usage.

The list of conditions and values for filtering by current step:

Condition

Value

  • Is

  • Is not

  • Throttled

    The contact has not yet been processed, but it is ready and will be as soon as his turn comes. The number of contacts processed every day depends on the throttling limit.

  • Finished

    The contact replied to your email sent within the sequence or all steps have been finished.

  • Equals

  • Does not equal

  • More than

  • Less than

  • Number of step

Description of possible combinations of conditions + values:

Description

'Is' + Throttled

This filter will show you the list of contacts that have Throttled state.

'Is' + Finished

This filter will show you the list of contacts that have Finished state.

'Is not' + Throttled

This filter will show you the list of contacts that have any step in Current Step except Throttled.

'Is not' + Finished

This filter will show you the list of contacts that have any step in Current Step except Finished.

'Equals' + exact step

This filter will show you the list of contacts that are at the specified step in the filter.

'Does not equal' + exact step

This filter will show you the list of contacts that are NOT at the specified step in the filter.

'More than' + exact step

This filter will show you the list of contacts that are at the specified step in the filter and higher steps.

'Less than' + exact step

This filter will show you the list of contacts that are at the previous steps before the specified step in the filter.

Please note. You can set several filters at once and save the filtering pattern for further usage by clicking on the Add property button.
